GUWAHATI: Assam Rap Artist Swagat Yein known by his stage name ‘Shady Mellow’ has been selected for the second round of MTV Hustle.
This comes after his selection in the show after a rigorous selection procedure amongst submissions from artists all over the country.
Talking to GPlus Shady Mellow said, "I will be performing in the show in different languages like English, Hindi, Assamese, Urdu, and Mising to showcase my skills. I am excited to represent my state and culture in Hustle. Let's see what the future holds!"
Swagat, who is a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist (Rapper, Emcee, Producer) hails from Sivasagar and has been based in Guwahati for the last few years. He completed his engineering from NEHU, Shillong and he has been performing for more than 12 years around the country.
Swagat has also performed and hosted many music festivals and events all over the country like Redbull Spotlight, Rongali Music Festival, Majuli Music Festival, and Hip Hop International (India) to name a few.
Shady has also opened or been the starting act for many renowned figures like EPR Iyer, Ritviz, Kaam Bhari, Seedhe Maut, Shah Rule, Stunnah Beatz, RCR, Ikka, J Trix, Khasi Bloodz, Delhi Sultanate, Prabh Deep, Sez, Kings United, Spitfire, Anushka Manchanda etc.
