GUWAHATI: Given the 21-day lockdown due to COVID-19, and also the earlier panic-buying of citizens across the state to prepare for the lockdown, many essential commodities stores have been charging higher prices on various goods.
As such the Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has issued a list of prices of the essential commodities to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on 25th March.
As per the list the average prices of retail goods per kg/litre are as follows:
Rice- Rs. 30 to Rs 50
Wheat- Rs 26
Gram Dal -Rs 65
Urad Dal- Rs 100
Turn (Arahar) Dal - Rs 85
Masur Dal - Rs 70 to Rs 90
Moong Dal - Rs 100
Atta - Rs 33
Onion- Rs 28
Potato - Rs 18
Mustard Oil -Rs 110
Vanaspati- Rs 80
Soya oil - Rs 120
Sunflower oil- Rs 115
Milk - Rs 56
Sugar - Rs 42
Tea - Rs 200
Salt - Rs 12 per packet
Tomato - Rs 40
Gur - Rs 47
Peas - Rs 61
