GUWAHATI: Guwahati police has written to Facebook and urged to take down an Assamese page-‘Assamese Online’.
According to reports, the Guwahati Police Commissioner, Deepak Kumar speaking to media said that the page-Assamese Online which is a public page have reportedly circulated various hate-mongering posts on its the page.
The Facebook page goes with the Display Photo (Dp) of eminent litterateur late Mamoni Raisom Goswami.

"We have written to Facebook to take down the page and inform us about the persons operating the page. We are in constant touch with the Nodal Officer of Facebook India”, added Deepak Kumar.
The facebook page has currently 96,925 followers.
