GUWAHATI: The Karimganj Police intercepted a vehicle at Chewali Beel, recovering 548.82 grams of heroin on Sunday, October 13. The vehicle, reportedly originating from a neighboring state, was stopped during a routine check.

During the operation, police apprehended four individuals suspected of involvement in the trafficking.
Assam CM shared a post on X and commended the efforts of the Karimganj Police, saying, "Based on reliable input, an anti-narcotics ops was conducted by @karimganjpolice at Chewali Beel where a vehicle coming from a neighbouring State was intercepted & 548.82 gms of heroin was recovered. Four persons have been apprehended. Good job @assampolice"
