GUWAHATI: The Assam Government in a notification released on Tuesday, February 8, announced that Special Director General of Police (Border), Mukesh Agrawal, has been transferred and posted substantively as Director General Civil Defence and Commandant General Home Guards of Guwahati, with effect from the date of taking charge against the existing vacancy.
Agrawal has also been permitted to continue carrying the additional charge of Special Director General of Police-cum-Director, Fire and Emergency Services in Guwahati that he currently holds until further orders.
Additionally, GP Singh, Special Director General of Police (DGP) Law and Order and Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, has been promoted to Higher Administrative Grade + (HAG+) in level 16 of the pay matrix, as per the notification.
The notification further stated that Singh will be allowed to hold the additional charge of Special Director General of Police (Border), Guwahati and Special Director General of Police (V&AC), Guwahati, until further orders.
