GUWAHATI: One Intyaz Ali alias Intazul Laskar, a domicile of Assam died in Mizoram. As per reports, Ali was abducted from Lailapur Border Outpost area of Cachar district along Assam-Mizoram border.
Following this, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal sent the details of the incidents to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He at the same time asked Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua and Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta to rush to the area and take stock of the situation.
Assam Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya has assured the family of Intyaz Ali of all possible support and an ex-gratia amount very soon. As per the Minister, an NIA probe into the whole series of incidents has already been recommended by the Assam Government.
