GUWAHATI: A tragedy struck on Friday morning in Assam’s Barpeta district when a massive fire erupted at a residence in Bajali.
The fire erupted at the residence of Jalal Uddin at 11:45 AM Friday.
Initial investigations suggest that a short circuit caused the fire.
The fire destroyed property worth lakhs of rupees.
Additionally, the fire destroyed cash worth ₹1 lakh 70 thousand.
The fire also destroyed gold jewellery, paddy and many other important documents.
