The first rescue took place in Laharighat, where a minor girl had run away to a boy’s residence. The boy’s family immediately contacted CHL Morigaon through helpline number 1098 and, with the assistance of Laharighat Police Station officials, handed over the girl to the authorities.

In the second case, CHL Morigaon, in coordination with Mikirbheta Police, rescued a minor girl from Ghomoti Village. The girl, a resident of Kampur, Nagaon, had reportedly married a 41-year-old man. Acting on this information, CHL team members intervened and recovered her from the man’s residence.

Both girls have been presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Morigaon and placed in temporary shelter homes until further notice.
