Assam man in World Records for playing Assamese folk music while cycling

Manjit Dihingia, from Gohpur, Assam has made it to the World Records for his unique talent of playing Assamese folk music with instruments like the traditional Pepa, Dhol, Taal, Baahi etc, while cycling for a distance of over 80 kms.   The unique talent of Dihingia has won him appreciation and recognition from all over the nation and abroad. Speaking about his interest Dihingia says, "Our traditional music is starting to fade. The new generation hardly knows the significance of these instruments. This is my noble initiative to popularize and make people aweare of our rich culture."   Manjit has also bagged many prestigious records and titles earlier, such as Talent Awards 2016, Global Awards 2016, Records of Republic, U.R.F National Records, U.R.F Asia Records, Records Holder at Golden Book of Records, Records Holder at Universal Records Forum etc.   Stay updated on the go with GPlus News.
