GUWAHATI: Assam Police arrested one Pranjal Pran Bailung alias Raja from a hotel in Panjim, Goa with the help of North Goa police on August 26.
According to reports, the accused in an inebriated state, had allegedly abused a traffic branch police officer of Jorhat Police Station on a road.
It is to be mentioned that the video of the youth abusing the police officer, ASI Pradip Buragohain, using slang language went viral on social media.

A case has been registered at the Jorhat Police Station under Sections 353 (Assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty) and 294 (Obscene act in public place) of the IPC.
Taking to Twitter, Jorhat Police wrote,"Pranjal Pran Bailung @ Raja, accused of abusing on-duty traffic police personnel in Jorhat apprehended from a hotel in Panjim with help of North Goa police.
