Assam: Landlord, Tenant's Wife Killed In Dibrugarh Double Murder

GUWAHATI: A double murder occurred at Malakhubasa in Dibrugarh town, Assam on Monday, November 29, where a landlord and a tenant’s wife were allegedly killed by her husband. The deceased had been identified as Sudhir Gogoi and Kajal Sunghkham, who were allegedly murdered by Kajal’s husband Rajiv Sunghkham.

The husband-wife duo had started staying at rented accommodations in Sudhir Gogoi's house since last Sunday.

Police said Rajiv absconded with his daughter, leaving behind his son, following the murder. Sudhir Gogoi was an unmarried 67-year-old man.

The police are now investigating the matter and trying to establish the motive behind the murder. They refused to comment further as it would dilute the investigation process.
