GUWAHATI: The Assam Society for Comprehensive Financial Management System (AS-CFMS), a registered society under the Finance Department, has taken a significant step towards enhancing financial efficiency.
In a recent communication, Jayant Narlikar, IAS Commissioner and Secretary to the Assam Government, Finance Department, and Project Director of ASPIRe (Assam Society for Promotion of Inclusive Rural Growth), has issued directives to all District Commissioners in Assam regarding the implementation of Digital Signature Certificates (DSC) with the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS), also known as FinAssam.
This initiative, as outlined on September 8, aims to streamline financial processes and reduce paperwork. The deployment of DSCs will enable Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to submit digitally signed salary bills to treasuries, eliminating the need for physical submission of hard copies.
To facilitate a smooth transition, a representative from the DSC team, Pranjal Jyoti Sharma, can be contacted at 9864255824 or via email at PranjalJyoti.K@interlaceindia.com. District Commissioners are urged to instruct all DDOs within their jurisdiction to complete the DSC registration process by September 20.
Additionally, District Commissioners are encouraged to coordinate with and inform DDOs to update their mobile numbers linked with Aadhaar, which is essential for a seamless onboarding process.
