Assam: Healthcare Scheme Introduced For State Government Employees

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has launched the Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY) to facilitate better healthcare services for state government employees.

This scheme aims to replace the existing state government reimbursement model and bring about a host of changes.

Under the MMLSAY, beneficiaries can avail themselves of the benefits through two convenient registration methods: self-registration or registration at district kiosks.

These kiosks will be strategically located at the Joint Director of Health Services Office or Medical College for easy accessibility and enrollment.

One of the key highlights of the scheme is the provision for treatment cost reimbursement at rates approved by the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).

The scheme allows beneficiaries to request advance payments online. These advance reimbursements will be directly credited to the hospitals, streamlining the entire process and expediting medical services.

The Assam government took a leap and implemented an end-to-end claim processing system on a single IT platform to further enhance the efficiency and transparency of the scheme, making it easier for beneficiaries to access their healthcare benefits.

To prevent fraudulent claims and ensure authenticity, the MMLSAY process will be linked to Aadhaar.
