GUWAHATI: The state of Assam has been affected by the global pandemic COVID-19. In the absence of a vaccine or strong cure against the virus, doctors have been suggesting Plasma Therapy to cure COVID-19 patients.

With the initiative of doctors and the support of the government, Guwahati based not-for-profit organization Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad has been working hard towards getting plasma donations done.

Appreciating their works, the Health Minister of the state, Himanta Biswa Sarma has praised Terapanth Yuvak Parishad's Guwahati branch and assured all possible cooperation from the health department and the government.

"We appeal to all those who have been cured of COVID-19 disease to donate their plasma which can potentially save the lives of at least two people," said a committee member of Terapanth Yuvak Parishad.

He added that proper arrangements will be made to bring the donors from any region of the state to Guwahati and the donors would receive a certificate along with a letter of appreciation letter from the Health Minister.
