GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has allotted 60 bigha of land to the state transport department to set up a driving training institute of international standard at Amingaon in Guwahati on November 26.
According to reports, Pranab Dutta Goswami, the circle office of North Guwahati Revenue Circle handed the land allotment letter to DTO, Kamrup Gautam Das.
It is to be mentioned that the institute is being set up with an aim to produce skilled drivers to prevent road accidents and hereby create awareness among the younger generation.
