A total of Rs 2,80,000 has been earmarked for the Arunodoi scheme in this year’s budget. It is estimated to benefit 17 lakh families of the state.

"To ensure proper and complete use of the availed amount, the money will be credited to the bank account of a woman family member," he said.

Further, the respective families will be allowed to decide on the usage of the given amount as per requirement.
