GUWAHATI: From 1st September onwards, any person who undergoes COVID-19 RT-PCR test in a state government facility and wants to have the test result on fast-track basis within 24 hours of collection of the swab sample, will have to pay Rs. 2200.

This was stated in an order issued by the Assam Health and Family Welfare Department on 29th August.
The order will be effective from 1st September.
However, no payment will need to be made in cases where COVID-19 RT-PCR test is declared in normal timeframe of 48 to 72 hours.
