GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet has approved a major revitalisation initiative for the Brahmaputra Valley Fertiliser Corporation Ltd (BVFCL), a Central PSU engaged in gas-based urea production at Namrup, Dibrugarh, on Thursday, December 19.

The Cabinet has approved an equity investment of 40 per cent, amounting to ₹1272 crore, in a joint venture to establish the Namrup-IV unit.
The Namrup-IV project is expected to provide a fresh start to the fertiliser plant and enhance production efficiency.
