What is commendable about these camps are that hundreds of health care workers donated ‘blood plasma’ that would help in the recovery of Covid patients.

These frontline health workers, from doctors to nurses, ambulance drivers, and others donated their blood plasma selflessly.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, applauding their gesture, organized a grand ceremony on 10th August at the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) auditorium, to felicitate them.

Prior to the Plasma Donation Camp of yesterday, Sarma tweeted, “A large number of healthcare workers who got infected by #coronavirus have decided to donate their plasma after getting cured. A grand event is being organized on Monday, August 10 to felicitate them. Reviewed preparations for the same."
