Assam Govt employees to stage a State-Wide Three-Hour Protest on January 30

GUWAHATI: Assam Government employees will organise a protest across the state against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 on 30th January.

The association members will stage a three-hour protest in front of Subdivision offices and Deputy Commissioner Offices throughout the state.

The Sodou Assam Karmachari Parishad (SAKP), (All Assam Employees Association) will launch protest in all districts of the state and all government work will suffer for three hours on that day.

“Job is not greater than country, we request Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to abandon this bill. After that we will fight with the centre,” said association members.

The parishad is also supporting the 'Bazra Ninand' rally to be organised by the All Assam Students' Union on 23rd at Latashil playgrounds.
