GUWAHATI: Government of Assam has left no stone unturned to ensure people of Assam are safe when it comes to fighting the novel coronavirus.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, "Assam achieves an incredible feat of a million #COVID19 tests! Setting up 1st lab in Feb, which grew to 17 rapidly, our teams have done extraordinary work in reaching the 10 lakh mark in a little over 8 weeks. The last 1 lakh came in just 3 days. Remarkable!."

Earlier, sixty new COVID-19 counselling centres (CCCs) set up in Guwahati by the state government have started functioning from July 28.
Currently, the total number of COVID counselling centres in the city has increased to 103.
