GUWAHATI: Assam government has bought the media rights of using content shot with actor Priyanka Chopra for another year even though the global icon is no longer the brand ambassador of the state’s tourism initiative.
Speaking to local media, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Chairperson, Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) said that although the contract between the state and the actor expired last year, the state has the right to use content shot for ad films or other publicity material.

He further added that it is yet to be decided “if the state needs another brand ambassador at all.”
