GUWAHATI: In a bid to promote hygiene among women, Assam Government has made mandatory for all factories and industries to keep sanitary napkins.
The decision was taken at a state cabinet meeting which was held in Guwahati on Monday, November 19.
“The government has made it mandatory for all factories and industries in the state to keep sanitary pads for the welfare of the working women,” said Minister for Industries and Commerce Chandra Mohan Patowary.

The other keys decisions taken in the meeting were related to bamboo farming and state government holiday list for the year 2020.
