About five lakh Assam government employees have decided to join in the raging protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
The Assam government employees have joined hands with Sodou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP), the apex body of the government employees in Assam and hold a three-hour sit-in demonstration on 30 January across the state.

The sit in demonstration held by the Assam government employees implies that the administration will come to a standstill for three hours that day.
