GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet, in its weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, took several decisions. revolving around the improvement of the education and employment sector of the state.
Giving its approval to the amendment to the composition of the Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB) was one of the primary decisions taken by the cabinet.
Interacting with the media after the meeting, state Public Health Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah said, "In today's meeting the cabinet has decided to nominate an academic/administrative person of eminence as the Chairperson of the AESRB."
"Apart from the chairperson, the AESRB will also have two principals from existing engineering colleges as members," the minister informed.
The AESRB will also have two experts in specified disciplines as members and the Director of Technical Education, Assam, as the Member Secretary.
