Assam Government Announces Massive Recruitment Drive, 12,600 Vacancies Announced

 

GUWAHATI: The Government of Assam has announced a recruitment drive to address unemployment issues in the state, with a commitment to create 1 lakh jobs.

The recruitment is being carried out in accordance with the Assam Direct Recruitment Commission for Analogous Posts in Class-III and Class-IV Act, 2021 and the Assam Direct Recruitment for Class-III and Class-IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022.

In the latest announcement, 12,600 vacancies have been advertised today, with an additional 10,000 vacancies to be notified soon, bringing the total job opportunities to a staggering 22,600.

Class-IV Vacancies:

Online applications are invited for filling up 5,000 tentative vacant posts of Class-IV under various departments and establishments in the Government of Assam.

The maximum eligibility qualification for Class-IV posts is HSSLC (Class-12) or an equivalent examination. Applicants with higher qualifications will not be eligible for these posts. The age limit for Class-IV applicants is between 18 and 40 years, with relaxations for various categories.

Class-III Vacancies:

In a separate recruitment drive, the government is looking to fill 7,600 Class-III posts under different government establishments.

These posts are divided into three categories, each with its own educational qualification requirements: Category I (Bachelor Degree Level), Category II (HSSLC Level), and Category III (HSLC Level). The upper age limit for Class-III applicants is 40 years, with relaxations for specific categories.

Selection Process:

The selection process for both Class-IV and Class-III posts will involve a written test and an interview. The specific details of the examination scheme will be published at least one week before the written test.

Application Procedure:

Candidates are required to apply online through the official website, and the application window is open from November 10, 2023, to December 29, 2023. No application fee is required for any category of candidates. Once the online application is submitted, there will be no scope for editing or correction.

Other Conditions:

Candidates already in government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective Heads of Departments during the selection process.

Canvassing is strictly prohibited and could result in disqualification. There will be no TA/DA provided for attending the written test or interview.

The government aims to address unemployment and promote economic growth through this extensive recruitment drive. The vacancies are tentative, and more details, including pay bands, grade pay, and reservations, will be published in due course.

The Assam Direct Recruitment Commission reserves the right to cancel or amend the recruitment process at any time without assigning a reason. However, such information will be made public if any changes occur.
