Assam: Golaghat Triple Murder Case Accused Surrenders With Missing Infant

 

GUWAHATI: In a recent development, the accused in the Golaghat triple murder case surrendered himself to the Golaghat Police officials on Monday evening.

The unidentified miscreant, as stated in an earlier report, who broke into the residence of the victims and killed them has been identified as the husband of one of the two women who fell victim to the crime.

As confirmed by the Superintendent of Police (SP) Golaghat to G Plus, the accused, identified as Nazibur Rahman surrendered and confessed to killing his wife, mother-in-law and father-in-law earlier on Monday.

The accused has confessed to killing his wife and in-laws in a fit of rage over a marital dispute between the couple. Following the confession, he was arrested and sent to police custody.

Earlier reports that surfaced also suggested one of the victims to be a 9-year-old girl but the SP of Golaghat has duly confirmed to G Plus that no young girl was a victim in the incident.

While speaking to G Plus, the SP of Golaghat stated, “After committing the crime, the accused fled with the infant who happens to be his own son, The accused came to surrender by himself along with the missing infant. We have arrested him and have also initiated further legal proceedings against him.”
