GUWAHATI: A fire broke out on Friday, November 1, in a commercial area near Bhogdoi Masjid in Jorhat, leading to the death of one person. The deceased, originally from Bihar, worked at the business and residential establishment.

According to reports, the fire is believed to have originated in a firecracker godown, quickly spreading to two nearby shops. Fire tenders arrived promptly on the scene before it could extend further and prevent additional injuries.
A police official from Bhogdoi Police Station, speaking to GPlus, confirmed the incident: "The fire broke out in a business establishment near Bhogdoi Masjid. Although the exact cause remains unknown, it is suspected that firecrackers may have triggered the blaze, resulting in one casualty."
