"Fehujali" has already garnered significant attention, having won the Best Short Documentary award at the 7th New Delhi Film Festival on March 28, 2024. Produced and Directed by the Director General of Police, Assam, Parthasarathi Mahanta, IPS, the film features English subtitles curated by Jovial Kalita.

GP Singh, IPS, Director General of Police, Assam, highlighted the film’s critical message: “We have seen young boys and girls being misled into joining terrorist camps through various deceptive tactics. This documentary brings to light real stories of those disillusioned by such propaganda, who now wish to warn others against making the same mistakes. It is our effort to awaken our youth to the reality.”

Director Parthasarathi Mahanta elaborated on the film’s narrative: “The documentary delves into the struggles of marginalised youths in Assam who are coerced into extremist factions through financial incentives and other means. It reveals their disillusionment upon realising they were merely pawns in a game orchestrated by foreign interests exploiting misguided patriotism. Their journey back home is marked by shattered dreams and newfound clarity.”

"Fehujali," through its powerful storytelling, serves as a clarion call to disillusioned youth, urging them to resist the allure of extremism and choose a path of purpose and righteousness. The documentary has received widespread acclaim, with audiences appreciating its compelling narrative and impactful message.
