GUWAHATI: Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia’s term has been extended by 3 months beyond his superannuation on August 31, 2019.
This has been done in relaxation of Rule 16 (1) of the All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement-Benefits) Rules, 1958 as a special case in public interest.
This extension was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet based on the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
