GUWAHATI: In a recent move to promote development initiatives, the Assam government is set to ceremonially launch the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra from three tribal districts, namely Kokrajhar, Baksa, and Karbi Anglong, on November 15, 2023.
To oversee and coordinate the ceremonial launch in each district, the government has appointed the following officers:
• JB Ekka, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, for Kokrajhar.
• Mukesh Ch. Sahu, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, for Baksa.
• Manish Thakur, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, for Karbi Anglong.
The Chief Secretary of Assam has granted approval for this initiative.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to bring attention to developmental projects and initiatives in these tribal districts, fostering growth and inclusivity. The primary objective of the Yatra is to engage with the local population, raise awareness, and deliver the advantages of various welfare programmes.
