GUWAHATI: On the occasion of Rongali Bihu, Assam officially received certificates for two world records under the Guinness World Records at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.
11,304 dancers and musicians came together for the largest Bihu dance performance in the world, which was followed by the largest performance by 2,548 dhulias breaking the earlier world record of 1,356.
Assam has made the world record for 'The largest Bihu Dance performance in the world' and 'The Largest Dhol Drum Esemblance in the world.'
The Official certificates of the Guinness World Records were handed over to the Assam Government at an event held on April 14 in the presence of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.
PM Modi also witnessed the live Bihu by over 11,000 performers in Guwahati.
