GUWAHATI: With the start of the 4th phase of the extended nationwide lockdown, Assam, as on May 18, witnessed six new Covid-19 positive cases.
The latest comes from Cachar district where two patients have tested positive.
Earlier today, 2 were tested COVID-19 positive in Golaghat and two persons - one from Jorhat and the other from Nagaon - had also tested positive.

Meanwhile, a cancer patient who had earlier returned from Mumbai and had tested COVID-19 positive passed away at 11.05 AM at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) owing to respiratory distress.
The current tally of cases stands at 106. The details are as follows: recovered 41, active cases 60, deaths 3 and migrated 2.
