GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the Tinsukia Medical College and Hospital building site and directed the officials that the college's construction should be completed by September 10, 2023.
As announced by the state government earlier, the Tinsukia Medical College and Hospital will include 388 beds, 60 doctors, and 150 nurses.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister’s Office, Assam, wrote, “HCM Dr @himantabiswa inspected the Medical College under construction at Makum in Tinsukia district today. HCM directed the officials to complete the construction work before September 10, 2023.”
Earlier in April this year, during his address at the inaugural ceremony of AIIMS Guwahati, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Friday that a new medical college will be established inside the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati soon.
This medical college will be a step towards development as this will be a place where the doctors will work together with engineers towards innovation in the Healthcare sector.
