Assam Cabinet Approves ₹3,000 Crore High-Speed Economic Corridor Project

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Cabinet on October 9 meeting has given in-principle approval for a project titled the "High-Speed Economic Corridor," which is set to encompass 1000 kilometres of road network across the state.

This project is to be executed under the Asom Mala initiative and is estimated to cost approximately ₹3,000 crore.

The High-Speed Economic Corridor is expected to facilitate faster and more efficient movement of goods, people, and services throughout the state.

It is expected to streamline logistics, reduce transportation costs, and enhance connectivity between urban centres and rural areas.
