Assam Cabinet Approves Act To Regulate Coaching Institutes

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet has approved the enactment of the Assam Coaching Institutes (Control & Regulation) Act, 2025 to safeguard the rights of students enrolled in coaching centres on Sunday, March 9. The move is to provide students with necessary protection, guidance, and academic support while ensuring these institutions adhere to set standards.

Furthermore, the Cabinet discussed concerns regarding the conduct of the NEET examination. The government will request the National Testing Agency (NTA) to allocate NEET examination centres exclusively in government schools. The Cabinet has also recommended that these exams be conducted under the supervision of District Commissioners to enhance oversight and ensure smooth operations.

Meanwhile, five ADTCs (Advanced Digital Training Centres) are under construction in Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Biswanath, Barpeta, and Kamrup Rural. These centres are expected to become operational within the next five months.
