GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate incident, a 32-year-old businessman died of electrocution in Udalguri district.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Roshan Patowary, was fitting an inverter battery in his residence.
Patowary hails from Ward No. 4 of Tangla town and was a reputed businessman of the area.

Meanwhile, neighbours saw the body of Patowary lying on the verandah of the house early in the morning and informed the police.

Sub-inspector of Tangla Police Station, Upen Chandra Barman said, “The victim’s body was found lying on the floor and a high voltage shock is suspected to be the immediate cause of his death.”
The body has been sent for post mortem.
