GUWAHATI: A 12-hour Assam bandh has been called on Friday, December 12 demanding release of peasant leader and RTI activist Akhil Gogoi.
The shutdown has been called from 5 am till 5 pm in the evening.
The bandh has been called by Krishak Shramik Unanyan Parishad along with seven other organizations.
Gogoi was arrested by Assam police on December 12 from Jorhat district as a preventive measure, amid violent protests against the CAA across the state.
