GUWAHATI: The Assam cabinet has approved 46 flood and erosion management projects at a cost of ₹338 crore to mitigate the impact of natural disasters in the state.

This was announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma following the state cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, March 4.
The projects will aim to strengthen flood control measures and reduce erosion in vulnerable areas, ensuring better protection for communities affected by such disasters.
In another development, the cabinet also approved policies to promote Assam as a key industrial hub, including the Assam Electronics System Design & Manufacturing Policy, 2025.
