GUWAHATI: The Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd. (APDCL) has issued an important notice to all electricity consumers regarding the implementation of Fuel and Power Purchase Price Adjustment (FPPPA) rates. These rates will be effective from the month of October 2023, covering energy consumption during September 2023, until further notice.
The revised rates are as follows:
Up to 300 units: ₹0.30 per unit
301-500 units: ₹0.50 per unit
More than 500 units: ₹1.29 per unit
Other Categories (Commercial, Industrial, etc.): ₹1.29 per unit
For smart pre-paid consumers, the applicable FPPPA charges for energy consumed in September 2023 will be distributed in 92 equal daily instalments from October 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. For conventional prepaid consumers, the FPPPA will be applied prospectively.
Any necessary adjustments, such as short or excess recovery due to seasonal variations in consumption during the specified period, will be made in subsequent periods as directed by the competent authority.
