Assam Announces Squad For Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Trophy

 

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cricket Association has unveiled its squad for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Trophy, set to be held in Visakhapatnam from November 23, 2024.

Denish Das will lead the team as captain, with Sumit Ghadigaonkar, the wicketkeeper-batsman, serving as vice-captain. The squad also includes players like Sarupam Purkayastha, Parvej Musaraf, and Jitumoni Kalita, alongside young talents such as Ruhinandan Pegu and Saahil Jain.  

The team comprises:  
- Denish Das (Captain)
- Sumit Ghadigaonkar (Vice-Captain & WK)
- Sarupam Purkayastha, Parvej Musaraf, Ruhinandan Pegu (WK), Jitumoni Kalita, Akash Sengupta, Nipan Deka, Mukhtar Hussain, Mrinmoy Dutta, Bhargav Dutta, Avinav Choudhury, Roshan Alam, Saahil Jain, and Gunjanjyoti Deka.  

The support staff, led by head coach R. Muralidhar, includes R.K. Yadav as coach, Rahul Pandey as trainer, and Bheeshm Pratap Singh as physio. Video analysis will be handled by Rajesh Sharma, while Hari Krishan serves as the team masseur. Kartik Talukdar and Subhankar Dey will assist with throwdowns, and Manoj Kumar Bhagawati is the team manager.  

The Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Trophy serves as a crucial platform for players to showcase their talent ahead of national selections.
