GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has announced the reservation of seats for the Moran and Matak communities in the Assam Civil Service (ACS) and Assam Police Service (APS) Junior Grade recruitments during yesterday's state cabinet meeting and will be applicable within the Other Backward Class (OBC) quota for the next five Combined Competitive Examinations.
The move is planned to uplift and empower the Moran and Matak communities, ensuring that they have a fair opportunity to serve in prestigious roles within the state's administrative and police services.
By reserving one post each for these communities in the ACS Junior Grade and APS Junior Grade recruitments, the government aims to enhance their socio-economic status and contribute to the overall development of the state.
