GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has issued new orders for several key transfers and postings of senior officials in various departments. The notifications were issued on January 11, by the Personnel Department under the directives of the Governor.

K.S.P.V. Pavan Kumar has been relieved from his current role as Special Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Information Technology Department and Director of the Directorate of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication (DITEC). He has been reverted to the Environment & Forest Department, where he will now serve as the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Afforestation) in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & HoFF.
Virendra Mittal has been transferred from his post as Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Social Justice & Empowerment and Irrigation Departments. He will now serve as Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Assam, Finance Department, while continuing his additional responsibilities in the Irrigation Department, ARIAS (addl), and Project Officer of the Assam Integrated River Basin Management project under PIU, ASDMA (addl).
Laya Madduri has been relieved from the additional charge of Secretary to the Government of Assam, Science, Technology, and Climate Change Department. She continues to hold her position as Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Finance Department and Managing Director of Assam Financial Corporation.
Ashwani Kumar has returned from Central Deputation and is now posted as Director of the Directorate of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication (DITEC), Assam.
Pallav Gopal Jha has been transferred from his role as Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Finance Department and Commissioner of Taxes, Assam. He will now serve as Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Science, Technology & Climate Change Department, while retaining his additional roles as Project Director for the Assam Urban Infrastructure Investment Program and the JICA Assisted Guwahati Water Supplies Project. Additionally, he will take over the responsibilities of Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Social Justice & Empowerment Department as an additional charge.
Jitu Doley(IRS) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Excise, Assam. He will also assume additional charge as Commissioner of Taxes, Assam.
