According to early morning updates, the water level in the main quarry had decreased by 0.3 meters, though more recent figures were yet to be released.
Rescue efforts are being conducted by a joint team comprising the Navy, Army, Assam Rifles, NDRF, SDRF, and district-level forces. Underwater Remote Operating Vehicles (ROVs) are also being used to capture images inside the quarry and assist in locating the trapped miners.
Sudden flooding of the mine had seen the team of miners trapped on January 6. While four bodies have been recovered, efforts to rescue the remaining miners remain ongoing.
