Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made this announcement after the cabinet meeting held on Thursday, March 27.

Under this scheme, paddy farmers will now receive an additional ₹250 per quintal, while mustard farmers will get ₹500 per quintal as top-up support. The move has been implemented to ensure better financial security for agricultural workers.

In the same cabinet meeting, approval was sanctioned to extend the validity of Fair Price Shop (FPS) licenses across the state until June 30, 2026.

The extension will now allow all FPS operators to continue their services without disruption.
