GUWAHATI: Renowned theatre artist from Assam, Baharul Islam is playing a cameo role in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak. The film is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, it stars Deepika Padukone as an acid attack survivor.
The character played by Islam is not disclosed yet. Islam also played a crucial role in the Ajay Devgan’s Maidaan.
He is also slated to act in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’, which is an autobiographical account of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.
It needs to be mentioned that Islam is an alumnus of the prestigious National School of Drama. He has acted in more than 80 plays, designed and directed 30 plays for his theatre troupe Seagull.
