Assam: 90% COVID-19 Patients are from Quarantine Centres

GUWAHATI: Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, said that 90 percent of the Covid-19 patients are from quarantine centres which indicates that the quarantine process has been successful in Assam.

"Ninety per cent of COVID-19 patients in Assam have been reported from quarantine centres," said Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sarma also reiterated the state government’s ‘Ruthless Quarantine but with a Humane Heart’ policy is paying off, and community transmission is contained as of now.

Currently, there are 44 positive cases in Kamrup (M) and 18 in Kamrup (R). Hojai district has the highest number with 77 positive patients and Dhemaji district has none.
