GUWAHATI: In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old man was beaten to death by his son at Majgari village in Assam’s Udalguri district.
The deceased has been identified as Bhabesh Kalita.
Reportedly, Kalita engaged in a heated argument with his son, Jatin Kalita, following which the latter assaulted his father with a stick.

At the time of the incident, only the victim’s wife was present in the house.
After receiving information about the incident, a team from Gandhibari police out-post arrived at the spot but the victim had already lost his life by then.
Meanwhile, the accused is absconding and an FIR has been lodged against him in Tamulpur police station.
