GUWAHATI: Ahead of Durga Puja celebrations in Assam, six National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) cadres were arrested after a joint operation by the Kachugaon Military and police in Gossaigaon’s Okshiguri village on Monday, September 30.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces conducted a search operation following which the militants were detained from the border area of Ripu Forest reserve.
Reportedly, the forces also recovered a rifle, six pistols and several rounds on magazines.
