GUWAHATI: A 55-year old man was arrested by Dhubri Police for allegedly raping a 7-year-old girl yesterday in the Bidyapara Part II area of Dhubri.
The incident reportedly happened at around 11 AM on March 5.

The man was reportedly the neighbour of the minor girl. He was later arrested after the family members of the girl found out about the assault and informed the police at the Dhubri Bazar Town Police Outpost.

Speaking exclusively to GPlus, a police official from the Dhubri Bazar Town Police Outpost said, “We are investigating the case. It happened at Bidyapara Part II. We will soon present the victim in front of the Child Welfare Committee.”
